You’ll learn step-by-step mobilization procedures that offer essential guidance for safely and effectively moving pallet rack fixtures using the Pallet Rack Mover (PRM) System.
At the end of this course you will be an expert in the use of the PRM System.
Learning objectives
- Identify and explain all components of the PRM System, including skates, outriggers, pin plates, and accessories.
- Evaluate fixture types and store layouts to determine mobilization needs and compatibility with the PRM System.
- Perform comprehensive site assessments to identify potential hazards, access issues, and logistical challenges before mobilization begins.
- Demonstrate correct setup, assembly, and staging of the PRM System for pallet rack fixtures.
- Apply safe lifting and moving techniques, including alignment, caster orientation, and tool usage for controlled fixture relocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common equipment issues, such as misalignment, caster lock-up, and uneven loads.
- Disassemble, inspect, and properly pack the PRM System for transport or storage, ensuring readiness for future use.
- Document and report mobilization activities, including safety incidents, fixture conditions, and equipment checklists.
- Demonstrate compliance with workplace safety standards relevant to fixture movement in retail environments.
